Tree Service Fort Worth Tree Pest Control Department has been helping local residents fight agains tree Pine Beetles for two decades. In north Texas when there is a server drought our pine trees intended to stress and defoliate early and go dormant. This is when first primary Southern Pine Beetles will invade a pine tree.

This particular species southern pine beetle (SPB) can be deadly to Texas Pine trees. Drought is normally the primary cause of both primary and secondary pine beetles invaders.

DROUGHT IS ONE OF THE MAIN CAUSES FOR PINE BEETLES

We have found five different species of pine beetles in Fort Worth and North East Texas. One is a primary invader and the other are secondary invaders. You primary invader is the Southern Pine Beetle. This Beetles can and will kill your pine tree if lift untreated. The other species are secondary opportunistic beetles. These are your engraving pine beetles (also known as IPS), and the black turpentine pine beetle (BTB).

These secondary pine beetles normally come on a tree when it is damaged, weaken by weather or fungal disease. These secondary pine beetles can easily be treated by promoting good forest and urban forest tree practices. In July pine bark beetles normally fly to new trees and penetrate its bark to lay new larvae. The pine beetles use the pine trees as nurseries and conditions have to be just right for them to have any success.

Using the trees chemicals they produce pheromones that attract other beetles to help invade and weaken the overall trees immune system. This will help the beetles produce a larger more healthier colony and ensure that offspring thrive and live to fly off to other trees and start the process again.

HOW TO DIAGNOSE PINE BEETLES ON YOUR PINE TREES

Spraying for Pine Beetles
There are several ways the Arborist Company's will choose to treat for pine bark beetles. Every way is for a specific reason. One common way to treat for pine beetles is by spraying insecticide on the bark of the tree. This is a fairly easy way to treat for pine beetles; however it is not environmentally beneficial or safe! The insecticide ends up in our rivers and drinking water. In addition the arborist is limited on treatment targeting due to urban tree contamination with human population.

Deep root systemic injections for pine beetles
This is a popular treatment method for pine tree treatments in Fort Worth in general and, one that Tree Service Fort Worth might consider if conditions are right. Once agin the down side to Soil injections are the (4) to (6) weeks it will take for insecticide to make its way up the canopy. Unfortunately some pine trees in Tarrant count don't have this luxury and need fast acting treatments.

Micro-systemic trunk injections for pine beetles
The best way in our professional opinion to treat for ant tree pest to include pine beetles. Direct contact killer method. The insecticide is shot up via pressurized system the the vascular system of the tree. The benefits are no environment spills or contaminations! No water springs contaminations all insecticides stay in the tree!

OUR REVIEWS

These guys were great. Very professional and knocked out a big job in just a few short hours. They clearly knew what they were doing and went above and behind to carefully analyze the health of each tree, and what was needed. As opposed to trimming and moving on. I highly recommend. They did my neighbor as well.

Very happy in my dealings with Henry and his crew. Henry came out on short notice to provide some recommendations on trimming and keeping one of my pecan trees healthy. His crew was able to come out a couple days later and were very professional and efficient. They even took the bigger limbs that were removed and cut them down for firewood and stacked the wood. Will definitely work with them again for future tree care.

Had just closed on the new house with beautiful landscape to discover my cypress trees dying and other trees on the property looking ill. Called two other arborist before I discovered Henry. Though there was no saving my already dying trees; the others were diagnosed, treated and saved. Henry was not only knowledgeable but also professional, friendly and extremely reasonable. It is almost shocking to find people like him these days. Highly recommended to all!
